Pertikaian mahkamah yang berterusan antara kerajaan GPS Sarawak dan PETRONAS telah secara serius meruntuhkan kredibiliti, autoriti, dan kuasa rundingan kerajaan GPS dalam berurusan dengan Kerajaan Persekutuan dan PETRONAS. Konfrontasi undang-undang ini telah mendedahkan kelemahan GPS dan ketidakupayaannya untuk secara tegas melindungi hak dan kepentingan Sarawak ke atas sumber minyak dan gasnya sendiri.

The ongoing court dispute between the Sarawak GPS government and PETRONAS has severely undermined the credibility, authority, and bargaining power of the GPS government in dealing with the Federal Government and PETRONAS. This legal confrontation has exposed the weakness of GPS and its inability to decisively protect Sarawak’s rights and interests over its own oil and gas resources.


Terdapat kepercayaan umum bahawa dalam keadaan darurat, seseorang dibenarkan melakukan apa yang biasanya dilarang. Konsep ini, yang tertanam dalam banyak sistem perundangan dan moral, membenarkan penggantungan sementara peraturan biasa dan pelaksanaan kuasa luar biasa untuk mengurus krisis. There is a common adage that in an emergency, one is permitted to do what is normally forbidden. This concept, deeply embedded in many legal and moral systems, allows for the temporary suspension of normal rules and the exercise of extraordinary powers to manage crises. Dalam wacana baru-baru ini, Menteri Undang-Undang dan Reformasi Institusi, Datu Sri Azalina Osman Syed, menyatakan di parlimen bahawa Perjanjian Malaysia 1963 (MA63) tidak mengandungi sebarang sebutan eksplisit mengenai pemilikan atau peraturan minyak dan gas, membayangkan bahawa sumber-sumber ini secara automatik berada di bawah kawalan kerajaan persekutuan dan, seterusnya, Petronas. Penegasan ini, walaupun kelihatan mudah, telah disambut dengan bantahan keras, menonjolkan satu peninggalan kritikal dalam memahami prinsip-prinsip asas pembentukan Malaysia.


In a recent discourse, the Law and Institutional Reform Minister, Datu Sri Azalina Osman Syed, stated in parliament that the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) contains no explicit mention of oil and gas ownership or regulation, implying that these resources automatically fall under federal government control and, by extension, Petronas. This assertion, while seemingly straightforward, has been met with strong rebuttal, highlighting a critical omission in understanding the foundational principles of Malaysia's formation.


Sejarah menunjukkan bahawa kesatuan politik hanya akan kekal bertahan apabila ia didasarkan atas rasa hormat, keadilan, dan niat yang ikhlas. Pemisahan Singapura daripada Malaysia pada tahun 1965 berlaku susulan perselisihan politik dan ekonomi yang berlarutan, yang tidak dapat diselesaikan meskipun pelbagai usaha penyelesaian telah dilakukan.

Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) respectfully disagrees with the view expressed by constitutional expert Dr Abdul Aziz Bari calling for the resignation of Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

I. It’s Not About "Whether to Recognize," But "Why the UEC Exists"
Current debates over the recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) are often oversimplified into technicalities: Is the UEC equivalent to a national diploma? Should students take SPM Malay and History? However, detached from its historical context, the question itself is flawed. The UEC was not a "capricious choice" by the Chinese community; it was a self-preservation mechanism forced into existence by a systemic rupture.


Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) memandang dengan penuh kebimbangan dan kekecewaan terhadap penghakisan berterusan dominasi sah Sarawak ke atas sumber minyak dan gasnya di bawah pengawasan kerajaan GPS.

Encik Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, Pengerusi Parti Bumi Kenyalang (Bahagian Miri) merangkap Setiausaha Organisasi Majlis Tertinggi, menzahirkan kemarahan dan kekecewaan beliau terhadap dakwaan Datuk Bandar Miri, Adam Yii, bahawa tindakan Majlis Bandaraya Miri (MBP) merampas atau menyita durian daripada penjaja tepi jalan tanpa lesen dilakukan “mengikut prosedur operasi standard (SOP).”

Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, Chairman of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (Miri Division) and Supreme Council Organising Secretary, expressed anger and disappointment over Miri Mayor Adam Yii’s claim that the Miri City Council’s seizure or confiscation of durians from unlicensed roadside hawkers was carried out “in accordance with standard operating procedures.”

In Malaysia Members of Parliament (MPs) and their service centres (Pusat Khidmat Ahli Parlimen)—as far as I know, including those from DAP serving in the current federal Kerajaan Madani / Mandani—cannot automatically use the federal government logo (such as the Jata Persekutuan or other official federal insignia) on their service centre signboards, unless there is explicit authorisation under the relevant government policies.

 Sejak kebelakangan ini, persoalan sama ada Sijil Peperiksaan Bersepadu (UEC) sekolah menengah Cina merdeka adalah tidak berperlembagaan telah sekali lagi menjadi tumpuan perhatian tinggi di Semenanjung Malaysia, Sabah, dan Sarawak. Parti-parti politik dari kedua-dua belah pihak, kerajaan dan masyarakat sivil, masing-masing berpegang pada pandangan berbeza. Janji-janji lampau Parti Tindakan Demokratik (DAP) dan Pakatan Harapan telah diteliti semula, dengan tuduhan "khianat janji" yang sukar untuk dibantah. Namun, jika kita hanya terhenti pada tahap pertahanan parti politik atau sentimen etnik, masalah ini tidak akan pernah diselesaikan.

In recent days, the question of whether the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) of independent Chinese secondary schools is unconstitutional has once again become a focal point of intense attention in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak. Political parties from both sides of the divide, government and civil society, hold differing views. However, if we remain confined to the level of political party maneuvering or ethnic sentiment, the problem will never be resolved.
