希盟政府人权改革 人权观察组织直言“非常失望”
（吉隆坡8日讯）人权观察组织亚洲副总裁菲罗伯森指出，该组织对希盟政府执政一周年对人权改革议程的表现，感到“深深的失望”（Deep disappointment ）。他说，该组织曾在去年10月来马与希盟政府会面，包括外交部长和总检察长等高级高官，当时希盟政府表达了对人权改革议程的承诺
没有彻底改变只有彻底失望。

今天（5月9日）刚好是希盟执政一周年。在去年的这一天晚上，我人在电视台，应邀参加对大选成绩评析。
从表面上来看这是独立以来的首次政权交替，由反对党联手打败了掌权61年的国阵（前身是联盟）。最难以置信的是巫统竟然在一夜之间失掉多年掌控的政权。犹记得在大选前一年（即2017年），纳吉还夸海口说巫统不但要执政百年，更会存在和执政1000年。

砂拉越行动党为什么那么介意人联党党领袖,在砂拉越会议中讲解砂拉越历史并说明在砂拉越会议提呈“公投法”(Referendum Ordinance)? 这是砂拉越朝向更民主的“全砂拉越人民的民主工具”，让人民可以在情况需要时，人民可以启动公投法让人民做决定。为什么砂拉越希望联盟自称还是砂拉越子民，不愿意看到“公投法令”成真？

The new government of PH led by Tun Dr Mahathir did set out by striking when the iron is hot.
From Sarawak point of view, the Tun Mahathir 2.0, struck immediately against Sarawak when one month after coming into power, Petronas sued Sarawak Government asking the court to basically seize our oil and our right to impose sales tax under our State law, Oil Mining Ordinance 1958.

Robert Lau Hui Yew gave a good summary to the debate in DUN Sarawak as follows:
The difference between the Sarawak of today and that of 1976 is that the people of Sarawak now has awaken.
Sarawak today is much more aware of what are the rights due to Sarawak under the MA63 and the IGC Report than when Malaysia was formed 56 years ago. That critical part of our country's history was and continue not to be taught in our schools.
DUN Sarawak Took The First Bold Step
To some, PH Sarawak debate in DUN was more of a face saving act owing to failed and questionable intention to amend Malaysia Federal Constitution with no real sign of regain equal partnership through the failed amendment attempt. Nevertheless, it is good to see all in DUN said "Yes" in one voice to the tabled motions/proposal. Such unity is essential for the betterment of Sarawak.
