Mahathir is unlikely to grant full autonomy to Sabah and Sarawak, says an analyst citing the latter’s previous policies of having a strong federal government.Arnold Puyok, of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, says the prime minister believes in a stronger federal government for national integration. “He believes in a strong federal identity. “When it comes to nation building, Mahathir believes that centralisation is vital to keep the territories together and the government strong,” Puyok told FMT.  “As such, how much of autonomy is he willing to give away to Sabah and Sarawak?”

Su Guanshan said that ： if the federal government cannot fully implement the 1963 Malaysian  Agreement (MA63), the state government can choose to take legal action against the federal government. However, he also said that the prosecution of the federal government can only be a "final means", that is, the state government has taken all feasible measures, but the federal government is still unable to fulfill the 1963 Malaysian contract. 亚庇12日讯: 沙巴法律协会主席苏观山表示，如果联邦政府无法完全执行1963年大马立国契约（MA63），州政府是可以选择对联邦政府采取法律行动的。不过他也说，起诉联邦政府只能是「最终手段」，亦即州政府已经采取了所有可行的方案，但联邦政府却依然无法履行1963年大马契约。他表示，根据他详细阅读1963年大马契约之后了解，文件中的第8条阐明，沙巴和砂拉越可以采取一切可行的行动，去确保1963大马契约这份政府委员会（Inter-Governmental Committee）间的协议获得执行。

温利山：如果聯邦政府真誠地讓沙巴和沙撈越成為馬來亞的平等夥伴，那麼所有222個議會席位必須與沙巴和沙撈越平分。與此同時，來自馬來亞的所有政黨都必須退出沙巴和沙撈越的土地，因為他們的存在被解釋為干涉沙巴和沙撈越作為马来西亚聯邦各國的尊嚴和主權。“聯邦憲法”第47條允許來自馬來亞的人在沙巴和沙撈越的議會席位上進行競爭，應相應修改为不被允许。所有沙撈越的收入本来都應該首先進入沙撈越政府的保險柜，在扣除沙撈越的需要的份額之後，然後剩下的再交聯邦政府。但一直這沒有做到，而只是將被联邦政府拿走的庞大收入之内，回头分一些給沙巴和沙撈越，这一直使沙砂人民對聯邦政府感到不滿。

Like boxing, before coming into the boxing ring, rules must be set and the rules must be clear. The calling by the federal government to the negotiation table to trash matters in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63 Treaty) which now led to the proposed amendment of Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution was a trap set by the federal government. The trap was to get Sabah and Sarawak to come to the negotiating table to agree that Article 1(2) should be amended to give equal status to Sabah and Sarawak equal to Malaya. In the proposed amendment, it will be mentioned that Sabah and Sarawak shall be territories of the Federation of Malaysia.

*Are not Sabah and Sarawak colonies of the Federation of Malaya? Now the federal government has suggested to amend Article 1(2) Federal Constitution to give back the status of Sabah and Sarawak to their original positions but this would not be able to solve the problems faced by Sabah and Sarawak. It is proposed that Sabah and Sarawak as *wilayah* within the Federation. This is bad because *wilayah means territory* not Nations. Do take note, the Federation of Malaysia is not a country but a federation formed originally by four countries and this status should be maintained.

Are we stupid or are you – our leaders –  that after over half a century you have still not got it right?  The Malays in Singapore are by and large better off than us yet they do not have Bumiputraism. Why not learn from them?    The wealth gap intra the Malay community is much wider than that of the other communities. We have super rich Malays while most of us struggle to make ends meet.    Are these rich Malays so much cleverer or more hard working than us?    Or is it because they have used their positions and connections to enrich themselves at our expense?

In the federal constitution, proper funds should be allocated to Sabah and Sarawak for development but the federal government had not done so in the past since the Federation of Malaysia came into existence. Therefore the spirit of equality and equal partnership between Sabah, Sarawak and the Federation of Malaya is an illusionary vision only.  In 2017 it was said Sarawak contributed a revenue of RM110 billion in revenue, but, in the first ever budget by the PH government, Sarawak only got only RM4 billion back. There is much dissatisfaction these days days against Federation of Malaya as a partner that the people of Sabah and Sarawak are calling to exit from the Federation of Malaysia.

If PH forms the state government, there could be a possibility for PH to amend the Sarawak Land Code and to streamline this Sarawak Land Code with the National Land Code to deprive the dayaks of their land. A vote for PH is a vote for imperialism by Malaya over Sarawak. A vote for GPS is a vote for continued policies of colonialism by the Federation of Malaya over Sarawak. It is a sad thing dayaks are still fighting a losing game. Many don't realise that locals here are agents of Malayan government to dominate Sarawakians economically and politically.
