The future of Sabah and Sarawak deserves honest reflection and courageous conversation. For far too long, political dynamics have been shaped by parties whose roots and real authority lie outside Borneo. Even when these parties place local faces on their banners, the true power over strategy, direction, and even candidate selection often remains in distant hands. This reality raises fundamental questions about autonomy, representation, and dignity.

In the past years, since becoming President of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), I have been called for investigation many times concerning the right of Sabah and Sarawak to seek independence from Malaysia.

Kuching/Melbourne – Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and Sabah Sarawak Rights Australia New Zealand (SSRANZ) strongly rebut the recent press report dismissing the RSNB Government-in-Exile (GiE) as “pure political rhetoric.”

Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, Chairman of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Miri Division and Supreme Council Organising Secretary, strongly criticised Sarawak DAP Secretary Mr. Ling Sie Kien, Miri City Council, and SUPP Pujut Branch Publicity Secretary Mr. Chong Kong Min for their immature and childish political manoeuvring over the drainage issue near Miri Airport.

Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, Chairman of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Miri Division and Supreme Council Organising Secretary, stated that the claim by the Sarawak government, political parties, or other individuals that Sarawak attained freedom and independence on 22 July 1963 is incorrect. Historically, Sarawak was never decolonised, nor was it ever granted independence.

Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, Chairman of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Miri Division and Supreme Council Organising Secretary, stated that the recent political instability in Peninsular Malaysia—marked by the collapse crisis of the federal government, internal conflicts among Peninsular parties, and “oust the Prime Minister” movements—creates a favourable opportunity for Sarawak to restore its equal status under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and reclaim various sovereign rights.

Parti Bumi Kenyalang Miri Division Chairman and Supreme Council Organising Secretary, Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, expressed deep disappointment over the remarks made by Mr. Chong Kong Min, Publicity Secretary of the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Pujut Branch, regarding the so-called "one more assemblyman, RM5 million more in allocation" policy.

 

(Miri, 10th July) Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Miri Division Chairman, Lawyer Mr. Leslie Ting Siong Ngiap, held a press conference today, severely criticizing the Sarawak government's passing of a bill in the special state assembly to increase the number of state seats from 82 to 99.

The phrase absolute power corrupts absolutely is a popular proverb that has been around for centuries. Its powerful message speaks to the dangers of giving one person too much power and control. The proverb highlights the idea that when people are given too much power and control, they can become corrupt and abuse their position for personal gain. This can lead to negative consequences for the people they are supposed to serve, as well as for society as a whole.

The Dubai Move which is denied by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leaders of such thing happening, is the best opportunity for Sabah and Sarawak to work ways out to take all oil and gas resources back.

Political parties from Malaya are not welcome to interfere with the affairs of people of Sarawak, especially, concerning immigration matters and allowing foreigners to seek refuge here. There is no reason to accept refugees in Sarawak. We need to take care of our own poor. It is not easy to give food and accommodation to refugees and we should not accommodate them.

Sarawak government should not allow or encourage the taking or employment of illegal foreign workers in the State. If the state allows the employment of foreign workers, this shows that the state did not come with a proper plan on how to develop skilled and semi-skilled manpower to help the industries in the state.

A series of police reports had been lodged concerning the contents of a Facebook account holder of Gerald Kerr depicting our Lord Jesus was naked on the cross. This is very irresponsible and a great insult to our Lord and to our Christian community.

The Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS) had been invited to “A CHRISTMAS CAROL, SARAWAK IN DIVERSITY” programme on 3 December, 2023 at Padang Merdeka, Kuching. I was made to understand that Premier DATUK PATINGGI TAN SRI (DR) ABANG HAJI ABDUL RAHMAN ZOHARI BIN TUN DATUK ABANG HAJI OPENG will be the Guest of Honour. TVS is the main organizer and this program was said supported by Unit Hal Ehwal Agama-agama Lain of the Premier’s Department, Sarawak.

Feedbacks received of the demonstration ahead of the ruling in front of the Palace of Justice, Putrajaya, with some politicians addressing the crowd about the suit filed by Nik Elin Zurina Nik Abdul Rashid and her daughter Tengku Yasmin Nastasha Tengku Abdul Rahman, challenging the constitutionality of 20 provisions under Kelantan’s syariah criminal enactment should be of concern for all Malaysians.

In past one year, there were many discussions and debates about the office governorship of Sarawak. I observed Dayak community is calling for a Dayak to be the next governor of Sarawak in the event our governor retires.
