Parti Bumi Kenyalang held activities all over our Bumi Kenyalang of Sarawak on 16 September 2020 on a day which marks the 57th year since the formation of Malaysia. In Sibu Parti Bumi Kenyalang had a 48 car convoy comprising of teams from Miri, Bintulu, Sarikei, Bintangor and Kanowit. The convoy started from Stadium Tun Zaidi and travelled as far up as Sibujaya and then ended at kampung Datu.
The purpose of the convoy was not to celebrate 916 as a happy Malaysia Day but it was to bring awareness to fellow Sarawakians of this day 57 years ago Sarawak and Sabah changed colonial masters from Great Britain to Malaya.
The broad statement by prime minister YAB Muhyiddin that Sabah & Sarawak expects the Fundamentals of MA63 to be restored is but a mere statement with no clear solution. The many MA63 Committees set up to discuss and “look into” this MA63 issue since the PH government has been hushed on their discussions and now Sabahans and Sarawakians are told that those discussions are confidential and not for public knowledge.
It’s been loo long too late now to make more promises of restoration. If the present government under YAB Muhyiddin is sincere in their want to “restore” our rights, then immediately they must give both Sabah and Sarawak their INDEPENDENCE and have this acknowledge by all world countries through the United Nations.
Only when Sabah and Sarawak are truly independent then their international rights and rights provided under MA63 can be aptly and rightly restored to them.
To make more promises and point out an obvious wrong does not help nor advance Sabah and Sarawak. Instead it creates in the rakyat’s heart a great mistrust and disappointment that our elected representatives in both the Malaysian Parliament and the Sarawak Dewan care so little for us that they think throwing rotten sweets at the wayside will cure our hunger forever.
Sarawak and Sabah have awaken. PM YAB Muhyiddin’s government is urged to create history and leave a legacy as non has ever seen before, a legacy bigger than the formation of Malaysia, by completing the process for INDEPENDENCE for Sabah and Sarawak by officially declaring Sabah and Sarawak as INDEPENDENT.
