Datuk Lee Kim Shin needs to understand the agony of Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui, the founder of Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) wanting to see Sarawak as an independent nation and not be part of Malaya. Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui had once said so.
I hope Datuk Lee Kim Shin being a senior politician and Minister should use his position to influence his colleagues in BN/GPS to lead Sarawak to freedom and independence from Malaya.
Datuk Lee Kim Shin should not have told Sarawakians that independence could not be achieved without weapon because this is untrue.
Datuk Lee Kim Shin should know under United Nations Assembly Resolution 1514 Sarawak has a right to seek freedom and independence from suppression, imperialism and colonialism. The United Nations Assembly Resolution 1514 allows decolonization and there is no need for bloodshed or weapons being used to achieve this.
Datuk Lee Kim Shin may wish to go back to school or to get a history teacher to tell him India, Malaya, Singapore, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines are among countries that got their freedom and independence without any bloodshed.
I understand in the 1960s people went to the streets and jungle and took arms to oppose Malaysia and blood spilled.
I admire their struggles but regret they did the wrong way. This is because to gain freedom and independence by weapons was and is illegal under domestic and international law.
Parti Bumi Kenyalang will not repeat this mistake and Parti Bumi Kenyalang will bring Sarawak out from colonialism and imperialism by legal means under domestic and international law.
Malayan authorities could not simply abuse the law because United Nations Human Rights Commission and the International Court Of Criminal Justice of the United Nations will watch and prosecute them for war crimes or crimes against humanity. Personalities prosecuted for crimes against humanity to name a few, included, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Joshua Sang of Kenya, Ratko Mladic of Yugoslavia and Mohammed Ali of Kenya.
The federal constitution never say Sarawak could not be set free and independent from the federation of Malaysia. In fact, Dr. Mahathir had made it clear of this right when he was interviewed in New York about this after Pakatan Harapan became the federal government. Please see Free Malaysia Today 29 September 2018 in which Dr. Mahathir said
"They never asked for independence, but they asked to have autonomy over certain matters, so we are granting them the autonomy ".
Datuk Lee Kim Shin and his colleagues should be ashamed to claim Sarawak had been granted independence or is an independent nation. If Sarawak had been granted independence, why Sarawakians have to sing the Negara Ku sang by Malaya, fly the flag flown by Malaya and shared the Malayan currency?
Datuk Lee Kim Shin being a senior politician should be told that the current Malaysian flag is infact the Malayan flag with additional stripes only and the Negara Ku sang now was the same Negara Ku of Malaya. With less than one third seats in Parliament is not Sarawak a colony of Malaya?
The voice of Members of Parliament (MPs) from Sarawak simply could not be heard.
Datuk Lee Kim Shin should know that the Cobbold Commission Report was a sham Report. None in the Cobbold Commission could speak local malay and native dialects and how those being interviewed could be said wanted Malaysia? Even if the all agreed, could the 4000 odd of them represented the voice Sarawak people which at that time was about 800,000?
The Malaysia Agreement 1963 upon which Malaysia was created was an invalid Agreement and Datuk Lee Kim Shin need to be told about this. This Agreement is invalid because Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak being colonies of United Kingdom at that time had no legal capacity to make that Agreement. Further, Malaya being an independent nation at that time was in a superior position than Singapore Sabah and Sarawak when Malaya signed the Agreement.
Sarawak had lost about 850,000 barrels of crude oil everyday to Petronas with a revenue worth RM285 million per day. If these revenues are for Sarawak, Sarawak will not suffer from a pain Borneo Highway or be lacking in facilities and development.
